The Vision of our Poojya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda was to make every Chinmaya Vidyalaya into a "School with a difference". The foundation stone for Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Cannanore was laid by H.H Swami Chinmayananda on 3rd February 1977. In 1989 it grew to a full-fledged secondary school affiliated to the CBSE New Delhi(Affiliation No:930028, School Code:75003). In August 1989 the Vidyalaya was up-graded into the Senior Secondary level.
